Sandisk Ssd Installation Software
Hi ars technica SSD experts
Is it worthwhile choosing the SanDisk SD8SN8U-1T00-1122 X400 M.2 SSD 1TB over the Samsung 850 EVO - 1TB - M.2 SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-N5E1T0BW?
Its about $90-$100 cheaper than the Samsung 1TB at $260. The big plus for the Samsung seems to be that a large number of people Amazon seem to like it.
I hasten to add that I am a newbie in all this SSD stuff and I am waiting for a yea/nay from here and the forum in Dell. I already have the new Inspiron i7559 ready to go, a Crucial 8GB RAM module, the tools etc. The Laptop is still in the box. I would like to do the changes before I start using it.
I did have a online chat with Sandisk support, they are more Enterprise oriented but the guy gave me a link to Apricorn for a one time download of their migration software. I have used it several years ago, Ok a decoade ago to clone a HDD and it worked just fine. I also have the Acronis product. From a couple of thread here I discerned that the Samsung Migration software is really not required but some people find it comfortable to get everything in one place.
Any and all feedback/advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks
